This past August, I was honored to be a guest at Creation Entertainment's Stargate Convention in Chicago. I had a blast chatting with fans about the books and everything Stargate, and the fact that I had the first available copies of the latest Atlantis novel, Casualties of War, made my table rather popular on Friday night. Here are a few of the highlights: ![]() Overheard most frequently: "Ooh... Is that the new one?" ![]() I was a little nervous about opening up the floor to questions during my stage talk; thanks for resisting the temptation to throw me any major curveballs, folks. ![]() Reading an excerpt from Casualties of War. Just my luck to be scheduled on stage right after the gorgeous Morena Baccarin, hmm? ![]() My new goal: learn how to personalize signatures in books and keep up a conversation simultaneously. There were a number of times when I had to pause in one activity to finish the other. ![]() Supported as always by my trusty bodyguard/money man/webmaster/overall "make everything better" person: my husband. Many thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello at the event. Hope to see you all again next year!
